How To Effortlessly Eat More Raw Food
We all know about the 'raw food diet,' right?
It's when we eat mostly raw foods, around 80% to 90-100%. Now, you might think this sounds a bit wild or extreme, but trust us, there are heaps of good stuff in eating food the way mother nature made it.
When we keep our fruits and veggies raw, they keep more of their good-for-you stuff, which means we get a big boost of natural energy. Now, we're not saying you have to go 100% raw, but studies show that adding more raw foods to our daily munching routine (about half of what we eat) can do wonders for our health.
So, let's check out our best tips on how to get more raw goodness into our bellies.
Start With Breakfast
Breakfast is one of the easiest meals to make raw, due to the fact that there are so many great options out there. Our Smoothie Bowl Blends are a great option to start your day with. Made from raw, gently dried fruits, gluten-free oats and a touch of natural coconut sweetener. Blend it into a smoothie or smoothie bowl, shake it into water, nut milk or juice to get a delicious smoothie on the go.
Eat More Salads
Now, we're not talking about wimpy salads here. We mean big, bold, colourful salads. Throw in crunchy stuff like hemp seeds, almonds, and pumpkin seeds. And don't forget creamy avocado for extra yumminess. Add all your favourite toppings and you never want to eat anything else again!
Let’s talk dessert
You can enjoy sweet treats the raw way! Whip up some strawberry cheesecake using our Cookie Energy Bars, or chocolate fudge cake with our Raw Chocolate. And why not make your snack stash raw so it’s always easy to enjoy a treat?
No Pressure, Just Fun
Remember, there's no pressure to go all-out raw. You can still enjoy cooked foods like buckwheat, brown rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and kale. Just mix things up, and you'll be getting a bunch of vitamins and minerals from your food.
So, there you have it, some easy-breezy tips to enjoy more raw food! Have fun, be healthy, and don't forget to sneak in a few extra treats. After all, it's all about having a 'raw-some' time!
There are so many great vegan raw foods that you can prepare yourself.
Remember there is always a vegan alternative to any dish. It’s a great way to tune in with your inner chef and expand your cooking skills while experimenting with new flavours. This also applies to quick snacks and sweets.
